About This Project
I designed this piece to address the visual noise that often accompanies modern kitchen aesthetics. By
shifting the focus from utilitarian storage to an sculptural element, I wanted to create a vessel that
honors the small rituals that anchor our day. The design process began with the search for a form that
felt both structural and approachable, leading me to incorporate vertical ribs that provide rhythm and
shadow to the object”™s silhouette.
The choice of a warm, earthy tone was deliberate, intended to provide a soft, organic contrast to the
sleek, high-tech finish of the coffee machine it accompanies. I favored a wide, open-access aperture to
ensure the user experience remains fluid and effortless, moving away from complex mechanisms that often
hinder rather than help.
The structure is not merely a container; it is an invitation to pause. By housing the pods in a form
that balances weight and texture, I aimed to reclaim the countertop space, turning a collection of
scattered capsules into a curated feature.
This project reflects my belief that even the smallest storage solutions should contribute to a sense of
environmental harmony. It is about recognizing that how we handle the items we use daily influences our
overall well-being. With this dispenser, I seek to replace the chaos of the morning rush with a quiet,
refined grace, ensuring the path to that first cup is as smooth as the brew itself.
