Digital noise often feels relentless, so I sought to design an object that grounds us quietly in the physical reality of our immediate surroundings. Iris serves as a subtle anchor. It acts as something that brings calm, awareness, and a gentle sense of clarity to the invisible currents of any space

About This Project
Iris was conceived in response to the intangible nature of the environments we inhabit. It addresses the subtle shifts in
air and temperature that profoundly influence how we feel yet remain mostly unseen. Often ignored until discomfort arises,
these atmospheric elements dictate the hidden rhythm of a room. This project explored how to give form to these invisible
forces without adding clutter.
The design is informed by organic sight and draws on the mechanics of the eye where the iris adjusts to bring the world into
focus. The object seeks to translate complex environmental states into a singular and clear moment of recognition.
It deliberately strips away excess to reveal only the essential truth of the space.
It engages with the idea that true comfort is often felt before it is understood. Iris invites a deeper and quieter form of
attention to our surroundings. It suggests that harmony lies not just in the objects we see but in understanding the delicate
balance of the space between them.
By isolating these metrics within a focused frame, the object invites a pause. It asks us to consider that the air we breathe
is not static but is a living and shifting entity. This simple readout becomes a touchpoint for mindfulness and turns a routine
check into a momentary connection with the subtle rhythms of the home.
